KATHRYN WADIA FELLOWS
Kathryn graduated from Loyola School of Law in New Orleans in 1995, where her honors included the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers' Scholarship and the Gillis Long Poverty Law Center Public Service Award. Before law school, Kathryn worked at the Georgia Indigent Defense Council and the Southern Center for Human Rights, both in Atlanta. While at Loyola, she clerked at the Orleans Parish Indigent Defender Program in New Orleans and the American Civil Liberties Union National Prison Project in Washington, D.C. She became a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society in NewYork in 1996. She died on April 30, 2004 of breast cancer at the age of 36. She would have loved to work for the ILF in Afghanistan.

•  Michael Skibbie, former executive director of the New Hampshire public defender's office and professor at the University of New Hampshire Law School.
